Word — from notes to client-ready.

Claude's Word skill produces real .docx files — proposals, letters, reports — with proper headings, tables, and formatting.

Setup: Built inDifficulty: EasyBest for: Proposals & reports

What it is

Instead of pasting Claude's text into Word and re-formatting for an hour, you get the finished document: styled headings, page numbers, tables, letterhead. It also reads Word files you give it — including tracked changes and comments.

How to use it

  1. Built into Claude's paid plans — nothing to install.
  2. Ask for the deliverable "as a Word document," attaching notes or source files.
  3. Claude returns a downloadable .docx.

Use cases

uc/01The proposal, assembled

"Turn these scope notes into a client proposal as a Word doc — cover page, sections, pricing table, professional but not stiff."

uc/02The recurring letter

"Build a letterhead template for us, then draft this month's rate-change letter in it."

uc/03The markup reader

"Here's the contract back from their lawyer with tracked changes. Summarize every edit and what it means for us."

uc/04The report upgrade

"Take this rough internal summary and rewrite it as a polished quarterly report a client could read — Word format, with a one-page executive summary."
Good to know: Give Claude one past document you like and ask it to match the structure and tone — output quality jumps immediately.
