Teams — the company's memory, searchable.

Part of the Microsoft 365 connector: Claude searches your Teams messages so "what did we decide?" stops meaning twenty minutes of scrolling.

Setup: ~2 minDifficulty: EasyBest for: Teams-first companies

What it does

One connection covers Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. For Teams specifically: Claude searches and summarizes chat messages across the channels and conversations your account can see. The decisions, commitments, and context buried in threads become things you can simply ask for.

How to install

  1. Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Find Microsoft 365 and click Connect.
  3. Sign in with your work Microsoft account. (Your IT admin may need to approve the app once.)

Use cases

uc/01Back-from-vacation digest

"Summarize what happened in the Operations and Sales channels while I was out last week. What needs my attention?"

uc/02Decision archaeology

"Search Teams for the discussion about switching shipping carriers. What was decided, and who owned the next steps?"

uc/03The commitment tracker

"Find everything I told people I'd do in Teams messages this week. Build me the to-do list I actually agreed to."

uc/04Prep from the chatter

"Before my call with the warehouse lead — summarize our Teams conversations from the past month so I'm not walking in cold."
Good to know: Read-and-search only — Claude doesn't post messages, and it sees only the channels your own account can see. Private chats stay as private as they were. Pairs naturally with the Outlook side of the same connector for full before-the-meeting prep.
